If you look at most audiophile cables they are very thick and bulky and some are almost impossible to manage. Those
cables may be visually impressive, but they never sound as impressive as they look. When you have a big thick cable most
of the bulk comes from multiple layers of insulation and or shielding which degrades sound quality. Big thick cables
with a lot of insulation deliver less music because more of the energy is stored in the cables insulation instead
of being transfered to your speakers. If you are using big thick cables you are actually losing signal!
Big
thick cables usually have heavy gauge conductors which is good for acheiving low DC(Direct Current) resistance, however
the complex musical signal isn't DC..it's AC(Alternating Current) so low DC resistance is not of paramount
importance. Larger conductors also suffer from higher Eddy Currents as well as higher Skin Effect. Big thick cables are better suited to jump starting cars...while our special cables are optimized for pure musical
reproduction.
Clairvoyant cables have a very thin enamel insulation for low energy storage and our
"Optimum Diameter" conductors have lower Eddy Currents and are below the threshold of Skin Effect.
